Scholarships Available

Spend a fun, intensive, and instructional weekend making music under the instruction of teachers from the Houston Brass Band. Activities during the camp include full rehearsals, sectionals, master classes, and more. You'll even get to perform alongside the Houston Brass Band in a culminating concert!

Learn From The Pros

Campers will have one on one and group instructional time with members of the Houston Brass Band. HBB members are professional musicians and professional educators from all over the Houston area with varied backgrounds and performance experience. Campers will thoroughly enjoy the up close and personal experience that the BOB camp offers.

What better way to learn and improve on your instrument than to perform sitting among professional musicians? BOB Campers will gain the experience of sitting right next to HBB members rehearsing and performing the same music throughout the weekend.

An Experience Like No Other

Experience the British Brass Band style of music at the Brass Only Band Camp. This is not your normal band setting! With only Brass and Percussion players at the camp, campers will be playing interesting parts, and making music like never before because all melodies and harmonies are covered by only Brass players! No more sitting around counting rests while the woodwinds play all of the notes, you will be active and involved throughout the rehearsals and performance.

Scholarships Available

The HBB would like for all students who love to play their instruments to have the opportunity to be involved in our camp. Full and half need-based scholarships are available. Typical Camp Schedule

Thursday
4:45pm-5:15pm – Campers arrive for registration
5:15pm-8:30pm – Sectionals/Rehearsals

Friday
9:45am – Camper report time
Lunch provided
5:00pm – Rehearsals conclude

Saturday
12:30pm – Camper report time
4:00pm – Concluding concert in the Lanier Auditorium, all are welcome!
